-Born within the Starwood Strand itself from a family who has lived there for most of their history, raised primarily by his grandparents in the old cottage and small plot of land they have by the edge of town. Having been here, knowing the presence of SAR his entire life with a family who remembers the day the facility was set up, he has become almost accustomed to the weirdness that settles around Starwood. He's learned all the rumours, the tips and tricks for where to avoid, who to avoid, how to keep yourself safe and away from the clutches of the facility and the dangers it attracts. They're a part of every day life for him. And he's content to merely mind his own business as far as all that goes. Sticking your nose where it doesn't belong is the fastest way to find yourself in trouble. His grandparents always used to tell him that. He's relatively self-sufficient, but makes most of his money on selling excess or requested produce from the garden he's started on the plot his grandparents left him. It's bustling with all kinds of regional produce, edible flowers and herbs. So long as you're willing to help him some time, or ask kindly enough, he may even be willing to part with his crops for free. But what he's known for amongst the towns people are his gifts. The produce he supplies without ever being asked nor expecting a favour in return. To the odd troubled soul who speaks of the following deeper in the woods, he's begun to provide flowers and clippings from the wisteria tree growing over his house. When Titan docked, the sailors were gifted garlic bulbs and advised to cook with it. He's become rather close with local run-away Fami, by often gifting her home-cooked meals and fresh produce when she visits. And perhaps even close to the mysterious detective Beaumont, to whom he's been providing medicinal herbs for quite some time..... He's an asset to the town. But especially to those two, who cherish him deeply. Even if one is constantly egging him on into getting involved in the local trouble and the other is always trying to discourage it. Phew. Well, he can only hope what meager involvement he allows isn't too much.
-Cecil is generally regarded as a pretty nice guy, and he definitely tries to be! Respect is his number one priority in any interaction and kindness his second. His gifting is a show of that, eager to share what he can so long as he knows it'll be appreciated in the long run, no matter how it may eat into his profits and impact his own lifestyle. But don't let that make you think he's some naive push-over. You wouldn't survive in Starwood by yourself very long like that. If you won't speak to him respectfully, then he won't even sell to you no matter what you offer. He may relent if you agree to help garden, willing to try pointing you in a better direction, but he's wary to be involved with someone trying too hard to push him around. He's wary of a lot of things. He's observant, picks up on things a bit faster than some might, and keeps this very close to his chest. Uses what he observes only to know how to keep himself safe - or determine who might need his gifts. Refusing to speak on anything but pleasant small talk, gardening, or cooking advice. It gives him... an almost mysterious air. Especially when he has so few true friends or close ones. He's always been more of a lone wolf when it comes down to it. Until lately, of course. Fami is still only a teen and Starwood is a dangerous town - if her attention is focused on him, then he's happy to try holding it. Keeping her fed, offering a roof when the weather is bad, medicine when her trouble gets too much. Trying not to indulge her too much when it comes to her fascination in creatures and the desire to be weird- only just enough, enough that she stays with him and doesn't visit people like that creepy artist down the road..... doesn't get herself in real trouble. Though one of these days, with all her insistence that they should both get weirder with it, it could land him in trouble despite his efforts..... ah well. At least he remains confident that he will have help in the form of Beaumont. The detective is one of the only dragons he feels truly comfortable around and can talk about anything with. Perhaps he is not one who longs for company often, but he feels fuzzy and warm inside when he thinks about spending time with him. When the detective thanks him for his help, for taking a moment to enjoy his company, and for keeping dragons like Fami safe. It's an odd arrangement. But he seems very happy these days.
-Not Partnered, but only because he knows it'd be foolish to pursue his the dragon he cares for.
