When the Tidelord first went missing, water dragons who knew of Bounty flocked to him. Their pleas and desperation for help was something Bounty could not ignore. The constant success he had experienced for so many years made him foolishly confident. He gave promises he could not fulfil. At first he thought the secret to what happened must be written within scrolls, but it yielded him with no results, and his clients were annoyed with him trying something their scholars were already doing. He changed tactics, and began speaking with beast clan in the area. Nothing. He visited the arcane to try and see if there was some spell or potion that might enlighten him, and again he was far from the first to think of this solution. Pressure was growing, and panic set in as he realized more and more that this was outside of his capabilities. But so many were counting on him, and the pressure was beginning to push Bounty to do things he otherwise wouldn't. He commissioned a dragon to make him a potion that would grant him the ability to breath underwater. He had done everything but go down himself and look for the missing god. The old arcane dragon cautioned him about his plans as he handed off the potion. He stressed that the potion may only last an hour, and how it could never be enough time to find the Tidelord. But Bounty reassured him, knowing this HAD to work. Bounty felt anxious as he stood on one of the many shores within the Sea of a Thousand Currents, but it was too late for him to turn back now. A small crowd of dragons are gathered on the shore beside him. Here to wait for his return. Bounty took note of their expressions, seeing how little faith they had in him, it made his guts twist in a sickly way and gave him the last push he needed to make that plunge into the dark cool waters. There, he swam. He searched, and he struggled against the currents. He had never swam before, and the sensation of the water was overwhelming. The sounds, the feeling of it in his lungs and nose, and worst of all, the pressure. It made his ears and aching head creak and pop, and it only got worst as he got deeper. It was all so unbearable. He spent more time floundering than he did searching. He couldn't do it. Bounty clung to a rock at the bottom of the ocean. He thought of the dragons depending on him, of his ruined reputation. He felt lost, and didn't know how to find himself again. Bounty could only think of one solution...
He would have to disappear.
