Bananight followed Lavafire, a fellow mirror in her last clan in the Mighty Lair of the Carrion Canyon (Whitefire #2308), when she left The Shifting Expanse to find new hunting grounds. She had no ties - no mate, no offspring - to hold her in Lightning's territory, even though she had spent her entire life in the same clan there. They both traveled southwest and joined a pack of mirrors in Clan Diamond Dust -- Bananight relished the new challenges of hunting in the winter region and decided to test the frozen waters there.
The mirrors in the clan, with the exception of DarkLord, tend to stick together for long range hunting expeditions and have their lair on the outskirts of the clan's territory. While the pack does regularly attract migratory mirrors and has a bit of a transitory quality, a number of mirrors seem to have settled permanently with Clan Diamond Dust, at least for now.
There was some uncertainty whether Bananight would stay with Clan Diamond Dust. She longed to catch the wind and explore the world more. However, after a number of hunting expeditions, she decided to take her place as the first flight representative on the clan's new Council of Elders. She had initially declined to be Wind's representative, since she had spent so little time there, but was eventually persuaded that the job would take her to new lands and adventure.
With her new position, she's contemplated asking for the clan leaders to sponsor new genes and a breed change to a species that originated in the Windswept Plateau, but there are other priorities for her and her clan first.
