Dinara doesn’t like Duchess Longshore very much. It seems like every time I sit down to dinner, Dinara makes some sideways comment about how the duchess could be governing the duchy better, and maybe, just maybe, someone else could do a better job. She hasn’t said anything directly mutinous yet, but I wonder how long that’ s going to last.

Apparently, the duchess has pushed Dinara to house far more Fire Flight refugees than her fief can handle, and her resources are stretched to their limit. The other fiefs haven’t received the same sort of pressure, and I can feel her resentment brewing.

Still, I must give credit where credit is due. Refugee crisis and all, Duchess Longshore has maintained the most financially viable duchy in the Princedom, even with disadvantaged mineral deposits. She knows how to stretch resources to their limits.

Unfortunately, she seems to want to stretch Dinara’s far past them.
