drv. "beside": calm & passive, lighthearted songsmith
besaid is a brisa from birth; one of few members to have actually hatched on the band's soil and grown up amongst the group. the first of the band's four nocturnes, his egg was found by hiver during a scouting mission and brought back to tuuli. horrified at the boy's purple eyes, but in no place to abandon the newborn hatchling, his eyes were gouged by tuuli and a bandage tied about his face to disguise the fact. his missing eyes & dark facial scars instead attributed to a talonok attack in his early weeks- nobody but tuuli, giacomo & kilauea know of the real circumstances surrounding his eyes, not even besaid himself.
early days aside, besaid quickly established himself as clan songsmith, the boy loves to sing and always seems to be gliding about the campland whistling a tune, accompanied by his feathery companion- kilika. back when she was still a member of the brisa, samavadi's sister-in-law used paints & dyes to decorate the scales to how he appears now. tikal supplies the necessary dyes to reapply the markings as needed, but they have become his signature at this point; his stripes, songs, and broad wings soaring above the brisa wherever they go- their own, musical little north star.
