Hello there! These dragons are meant to be sent on the wind to see where it takes them: perhaps they'll go serve the elements battling against the beastclans, maybe they'll join someones lair for awhile, who knows they might even have kiddos! We shall see what fate has in store for these little floofballs as they travel across Sornieth and beyond, it's an awfully big world for such a little fellow

Like the rest of her bloodline, this tiny, wide-eyed Aether was sent on the wind into the vast world of Sornieth. She found herself on a gentle gust. Below her great, spiraling, plains, above a bright sky, and in between it all a tavern with no reason to be in the empty expanse it was. It was a Fae that opened the door of that tavern, a dragon even smaller than the little Aether. Much too large of a building for a dragon as small as that Fae to own, but own it she did! The Fae was startled by the little Aether's presence, for a second, before she was whisking the youngling inside with animated hands and a sparkling mist. Not once did the Fae speak, but the little Aether could understand the kindness in every action.

When the Fae finally did speak, once the little Aether had been offered a feast and a bath, it still was not in speech but on a piece of parchment.

Where are your parents? was the first. The little Aether replied with full honesty.

Do you know where you are? was the second, and again, the little Aether responded with the truth.

What's your name? was the third, but this time the little Aether spoke hesitantly, a small tremor in their antennae.

The Fae seemed thoughtful after that, but by that time it was growing late, and the little Aether was quite tired. They curled up in warm and heavy blankets that night, the distant horizon exploding in color soothing them to sleep.

When the little Aether awoke, it was day, the window was full of green and the air was different: tropical and damp. They found a savory pastry and a note by their bedside.

- Let me know what you’d like to be called when you’re ready, and ask me as many questions as you’d like, but I will try to answer some of them now.

- You can call me Bubbles. This is my tavern, and it moves where it needs to be.

- I’m mute. That means I cannot talk how most dragons normally do, but we can communicate easily this way. I always keep a scroll with me.

- You are free to stay here as long as you like, and I won’t force you to do anything to ‘earn your keep.’

- Dragons from all around come and go, and I might be busy when you’d like to talk, but please do not hesitate to get my attention.

- Feel free to take any of the pastries from the teal box that’s inside the kitchen and next to the spice rack. :)


And the last question, written in penmenship that seemed almost hesitant in its loops and curves.

- Would you go by Poli?

That was how Poli made their home in a most peculiar tavern, run by Bubbles and her small and most peculiar staff team.
