The Whisper of Misfortune

Ermir has always been a dragon of... questionable morality. Born with poor vision, life was difficult for him as a youngster. He found a kindred spirit in Jibade, a young Serthis left behind by their clan due to their lack of natural venom.
The two found work as saboteurs and hired thugs... any dirty, underhanded scheme that needed carried out, they would gladly lend a claw. As the years passed, Ermir simply grew bored of this routine; carrying out mayhem on others' terms, at their bidding. Surely, if he was going to cause chaos, it should be to further his own goals?
And so Ermir vanished from the Deepden Citadel. While none of the guard could find him, and assumed he had left, really he had set up a lair of his own deep in the winding tunnels and pipes of the Citadel's foundations. As time slowly passed, with the help of Jibade, he began to coalesce an assortment of dragons to do his own bidding, a guild of miscreants that he disguised as escorts and entertainers, dubbed the Band of Opalneria.

The move to the Abersteth Citadel has not harmed his business in any way. In fact, Ermir has taken the Band of Opalneria into legitimate territory... somewhat. While the guild's illicit activities are still hush-hush as far as the law is concerned, it runs as a cafe and spa for dragons seeking company and relaxation.

By far the most senior of the resident Serthis, Jibade is the constant companion and partner-in-crime to Ermir. Jibade is in charge of gathering information on the Band's clients... without their knowledge or consent, of course. They relay their finding directly to Ermir, who uses it to "keep the work flowing."
Every bit as mean-spirited as their associate, they delight in petty theft, malicious pranks, and of course harassing other Serthis. While permanent residents are pardoned from their ire, Jibade carries no kindness in their heart for others of their kind, and will even go so far as to pick fights with roving bands that happen to cross into the clan’s territory.
