The first and only nest laid by Emily and Martia hatched the twins Netta and Louis. The elder of the two, Netta much enjoyed going on adventures with her brother and although they never wandered too far from the clan's home on the windswept plateau, they were doted on by every dragon in the clan, and as such had a good time.

When the clan moved to the domain of the Stormcatcher, Netta was furious and decided she would hate every moment of it. She became angry and withdrawn, ignoring even her brother and closest friend Christie. While she never engaged with her anger, it was apparent something was wrong when a subdued young dragon replaced the once rambunctious hatchling.

Then one day a coppercoil creeper wandered into their new lair, and Netta was intrigued. Here was an adventuring companion that never got tired, never wanted to turn back and never got scared. A naturally curious and stubborn dragon, she began constantly following her new familiar, often leaving her brother and the rest of the clan behind to go on new adventures. Through her familiar, Netta found that her new home suited her well, and she grew to love the stormy desert.
