Gem
Witch of the bog
The crystal cove is home to all the dragons that shine brighter than any crystal found within Sornieth. Gem's family were no different, and neither were her siblings before her, each shining brilliant bright colours, until she came along. Her coat was definetly crystal, however you could not see it's shine due to the murky colour of it, the colour of the murkiest of trees within the bog that bordered the outer lair. Gem was resentful, everyone else was colourful and had their shine praised, yet all she got were false promises that she was just as beautiful, or that her shine would come eventually.

As she grew up this seemed to stop, and Gem was never sure whether she was relieved that their pity had stopped, or annoyed that they'd given up. However she knew she was angry at the obvious attempts to distance themselves from her, the begining isolation and their previous pitied reactions swirled within her head, her contempt for this place and its people growing. One evening she felt her magic pulling her, feeling no sentiment towards her previous home, she decided to follow it, as she made her way across the different areas of the lair, and the night became darker, she soon found herself staring across the swamp.

After meeting a mystery coatl who disappeared as soon as she appeared, Gem found that her magic could restore the bog that resided on the edge of the clan's terrirotry, weighing up her options she found the task of restoring the bog with her, and her future hatchlings magic, much more appealing than returning to the Crystal cove.
