Alkaline - Sleep Token
A sandsurge that doesn't like being underground? Alkaline, then Aegonaut, was hatched in the wind flight in underground tunnels. After a collapse he was separated from his family and crawled his way to the surface. He swore to never again go back underground. Looking up at the sky seeing dragons flying easily through the clouds he wanted nothing more than to soar. To be truly free.
He spends his days trying to reach the sky, inventing mechanical enhancements so that he may fly with his own wings. While researching in the Arcane libraries he stumbled upon research notes left by another scientist. Someone lost to the world it seemed, no one had seen them recently and even questioned whether they were alive or not. The answer to that turned out to be more complicated than he asked for.
Alkaline's search to find the "mad" scientist brought him all over Sornieth, through the Lightning flight and back to Arcane. Ending in some obscure corner of the Starwood Strand close to the Plague border.
Ricochet is a peculiar dragon (cyborg?) to put it mildly. Alkaline wasn't sure what exactly he expected, maybe more dragon less metal?? Is that guy even alive at this point? Alkaline's first thought was that Ricochet was a weird looking conduit, that is until it moved...
