named after the brightest star of the vela constellation, gamma velorum. common nickname would be vel :)
Vel's pronouns are Ve/Ver/Vis and They/Them. i don't typically use neos for characters, but i get the vibe that Vel is from some form of society that sees gender fluidly and nonlinearly, and ve/ver/vis is just what vibed most for ver. they/them is also fine, especially when used by outsiders who aren't super accustomed to ve's usual pronouns.
Vel has the innate ability of healing the ailments of others. there are limits, such as not being able to perform necromancy and the like, but generally they're a very powerful healer. ve is very humanitarian and tends to travel from place to place to heal those in need. Vel often refuses payment as ve doesn't want money, only for others to be well, but will accept a place to stay for the duration of vis visit.
