Biography
"In muddy waters, beauty blooms."
|
The air around her held a gentle, inviting aura, maybe a little on the warm side but she’d gotten used to that. Beneath her fuzzy paws, the warmth permeated the rich, fertile soil, sooting her tired limbs after a long day of walking. Insects buzzed and hummed in playful cadences, undisturbed by the dragon wandering calmly through their swarms. She took a deep breath, eyes closed in bliss as a heady mix of flowers and spices hit her senses. As she walked, paws wet from the lush ground she walked upon, plants slithered from her path like snakes disguised as vines. She didn’t need to know where she walked or where she was going. Her path was meandering, her destination didn’t matter. She would get where she wished to be, wherever that was. A gentle smile curled her dark lip as she turned her head up. |
Light from the sun above filtered through the trees, painting the garden in lovely streaks of pale light. They warmed the garden and her fur coat as she walked towards the pond. Even though she hadn’t been born here, she sighed with bone-deep satisfaction once the cool water lapped at her paws. This was where she belonged. This was her home, and she lowered herself further in the familiar splash of water. She hadn’t always felt that way off course. Those first few years had been as much a struggle as they had been an adventure, but as a water element, her fluidity was also her strength. That same flow also drew her away from the shoals of her original home, urging her to follow the waves of her curiosity until they rolled onto a different shore. On her adventures, she’d found many interesting places but none could hold her attention for more than a few months, and so she continued to follow her own current like a river meandering peacefully through the land. |

After she’d roamed for a while more, she found her way to a clear, natural pond. Its surface was covered in the most elegant flowers she had ever seen and she knew she’d found her new home.
She smirked again, her attention drifting back to her surroundings instead of lingering in the past. Wiggling her paw underneath the surface, she watched as some of the more curious inhabitants of the pond drew nearer. Sometimes she missed her old ways though, and a deeper part of her would always long for adventure. She sooted that longing with her seashells, and every piece of shell told its story in spiraled cones and lines as she carefully brushed them clean. But for now, she was pleased, and she was home.
