Biography

Arundati
Lightning Tainted/Elite of the Order
Magic Eater
The Battery

Eccentric to a fault Arundati shows little outward signs of the Shade that lurks within her. Perhaps it is because her own abilities seem to be much more in tune with Shade goals than many of the others in the Order. Her ability to absorb, convert and share magical energy makes her a valuable resource in any sector and on a battlefield she is usually among the front lines to drain the enemy’s magic and share it among their troops. Outside of a battlefield she can often be found ‘tasting’ the magic of those around her. While it was highly unnerving at first, they became used to it as they found that she would not do more than sample. She is the only other Tainted in the Order besides Iztali who can actually diminish and or remove the shade in others. While Empress and Xenocide can intimidate other Shade tainted into obedience they can not directly affect shade that are merged with another dragon. Arundati has never given a name for her ‘symbiote’ when she is asked she tends to answer with either her name or ‘we are unrestrained’. No one’s questions it overly much, some of the seers have been noticed to avoid her.

No one has ever seen her eat anything but magic unless she was badly damaged and without access to a magical source.
Unlike the other tainted she bleeds black when injured, instead of a mix of normal colored blood and the black shade tainted blood.
Her shadow is stable and does not shift like many others of the tainted, instead it is her body which seems to twist and deform when she is agitated.
She doesn’t feel of just lightning magic and her magical ability seems to be limited to the neutral drain and reformation of magical energy.
There is nothing with a shade taint that can sneak up on her and she seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to locating potential emperors.

Is this really a dragon who’s interacted with shade or a shade who gorged itself on enough magic to make itself into a dragon?
