Descending from a long line of Light historians, Maniae spent much of his adolescence in an archivist college. Dedicating most of his time to the study of the deities, he quickly grew obsessed with godhood, his reverence rapidly turning to delusion. A belief he could become something more rotted him to his core, his studies taking on more sinister tones, turning him towards darker and dustier corners of the Archives filled with foreboding whispers and demented rituals of dragons long past. Maniae let it consume him, withdrawing from his peers to sink further into his distortions. Deityhood no longer filled his fancy and his studies grew more immoral, more grotesque, pushing the bounds of sacrilege. He was expelled, ruffling no feathers; there was a higher power calling to him across the ruins.
