A seer's daughter shuffles tarot cards with well-practiced ease, her eyes locked onto something in the distance of the alpine plains that is too far to be seen. She is broken out of her reverie when a card slips from her deck, landing on the worn boards of her house's wooden porch. Sirene plucks the card from the ground, and frowns as she rubs the smooth surface between a finger and her thumb. The Emperor card. An a card representing self-possession, inner nobility, and leadership; but when reversed, much like an Emperor, it represents tyranny and arrogance. Sirene's eyes drift back to the plains, as she searches for something that only exists in her dreams. Arrogance, huh. . . This beast is prideful, his arrogance causing him to wear his pelt without fear of reproach or retaliation. He loathes lying, and never lies about his true nature; he is a monster, and the Emperor is all too happy to acknowledge that. He hunts by day, by night, in isolation or surrounded by witnesses, nothing can dissuade him from doing what he wants, whenever he wants. In an odd way, this causes other twisted, not-quite-right beings to flock to him, eager for his acceptance and protection, and he guides them with a steady hand like any good leader would. His impulsiveness is tempered by the careful way he treats those who trust him, making him a walking contradiction to many.
