Biography
Caelum does a lot of things, and one of them is waiting.
He waits for the sun to rise every day.
He waits for Yukihara.
He waits for Echosong's revival.
He waits for himself.
Caelum doesn't know what he's waiting for - but he's waiting, and that's enough. He can stand by and just do his job. He can wait. He doesn't have to take that one step forward - it's too big of a risk and he has everything to lose.

He used to rush in without a second thought. Reckless, stupid and idiotic, he thinks to himself, and he decides that waiting is better than anything.
(Even if it costs him Yukihara.)
He ran in, headfirst. He attacked that dryad. He spoiled the peace treaty.
No one in the clan knows.
They like him better, now that he's more patient, more analytic. He doesn't accuse them of random things any more, and he realises that he was a brash fool. No one liked him before, and he'll improve and learn. (They think that the drought made him realise that dragons had a short lifespan. He'll beg to differ.)
She did nothing wrong. Yet he attacked her anyways, on the grounds of trespassing. She was a newborn. She was excitable. (She was just like Caelum.)
Caelum will wait. Even when he hears the soft strumming of a harp coming from the Tower of Records, and the soft bursts of laughter around the clan, he will wait.
The only thing he's ever good for is waiting.
