A second generation member of the Cauldron Clan, this dragon is one of three siblings who all share a magical gift - the ability to transmute Shade damage in another into an expression of magic. Geam's gift transmutes Shade damage and locks it in hard stone. It is presumed to have come about in the egg: Geam's mother collects Shade taint from objects but cannot transmute it, whereas his father can create life and goodness from even the most barren soil. The sibling's gifts are what are keeping their mother from succumbing to Shade-taint entirely.

Geam is the Irish word for "gem".
