Biography
(WiP, on Mobile so saving frequently, pardon possible abrupt interruptions in dialog)
Miir,
Hedgy,
Jvarii,
Greth,
The harsh winds of Dragonhome's Shattered Plain buffeted Aihe's small body as he flew low over the cracked earth. He wavered, nearly tumbling mid-air before righting himself, tugging his Veil back over deep amber eyes.
Clutching his basket tighter, he scanned for a place to land... There! The little Fae landed beneath the Rocky ledge, out of the wind which had been threatening to flatten him against the unforgiving terrerain.
Giving himself a good shake and flip of his wings, he dislodged most of the dust and sand from his body before settling himself on his haunches. Now within the protective crevice, he lifted the protective cloth wrappings from the basket, peering inside. Among the carefully packed mushrooms, a few tasty Beetle snacks, and a small clawful of semi-precious stones, was curled his most precious find of the day: a small, if weakened, injured Hedgehog cushioned in a swath of cloth.
"It is ok little one..." he crooned softly, almost a Whisper of a sound, "Aihe will make you well again, I promise..." tenderness filled his voice as he very gingerly lifted the Hedgehog out of the basket, cloth and all, and laid her oh-so-gently on a smooth, raised stone.
The poor little creature's breathing was labored and ragged, it's little sides raising and falling with effort. Aihe had found her stuck, upside down wedged in a Crack too narrow for her to wiggle out of. Earthshaker only knew how long she'd been there, or how she'd gotten herself in such a place to begin with, but he was glad to have been doing such careful excavation of the ground nearby or he'd not have seen her.
Aihe closed his amber eyes, breathing deep and slow, drawing on the energies surrounding them. Tiny clawed forpaws lingering gently over the little one, a soft green glow flaired, then grew dim in but a moment. The worst of the Hedgehog's scratches from struggling against jagged rock having faded, the Fae rummaged within the protective wrappings of his Garb.
"Now where..." he muttered, exclaiming as he found what was likely the smallest waterskin in Sorienth, and uncorked it. The Fae nudged her gently, speaking in the same tender voice. "Come little one-- for you are little, to be smaller than even I-- let us quench that dry throat, hmm?" he watched pale blue eyes blink wearily up at him, and Aihe let a few drops of water be lapped eagerly up by the thirsty creature. "Slowly now, of course yes, more later sweet thing... a small snack perhaps, and then some rest yes?"
After a very delicious shared snack of a Beetle between the two, Aihe curled himself protectively around the now sleeping Hedgehog, still nestled within the soft padded cloth. Now was a time to rest, before continuing their journey to less harsh lands, and Aihe's next stop...
