Biography

- A peacekeeper, and scout. -
“Peep?” The first memory Diamond ever recalled upon his earliest days was the blinding shafts of sunlight glinting off of shimmering water, the jostled ride of haphazardly being carried in a fast sprint, and the gasps, splashes and shouts echoing in their wake.
“Get back here!”
“Give him back!”
Diamond’s next memory was of a warm nest of blankets, tucked away in a much soothingly darker space that smelled of sea salt, metal and wood chips. “Root around in there, hatchling.” A gruff, yet soft voice had murmured. The physical warmth of the rougher voice was no where near when Diamond outstretched his tiny claws, but that did not stop the clever little dragonet from hearing the tense bickering only a wall away. “A hatchling!? Captain, with all due respect… we can’t afford to fail our first heist. I… listen, my partner and I aren’t so sure about this life style. Can we even call ourselves pirates?” Followed by the hissed exclamation “Of COURSE we’re pirates. Chaemaure, I trust you more than any other being on this vessel. Sure, the plan… kind of took a turn, but don’t you feel the rush of freedom?” Hesitation, and then slowly… “I… I do. I’m sorry. But you must plan wisely. We need this alliance with the mineral dragons more than anything, and so far it only seems that you’ve angered them even more.” Another pause, talon steps. An emerald colored snout poked back into Diamond’s wide eyed view.
“See? Trust me.”
-
Further into his growth, Diamond’s growing love of the pirate ship he landed on by pure mishap lead the crew to a strong alliance with the dragons of the Gemstone Aquifers, despite a rocky start. Diamond spends his youth romping around with the other dragonets on deck, exploring and learning through the wild adventures and freedoms of living on the sea. He has a strong bond with their Captain, and the Co-Captain Chaemaure’s dragonets. He also began taking lessons from the captain in mastering the art of swiftness, doing his best to keep peace while contributing to the vessel’s missions.
