LINGUIST & GUARD
LINGUIST & GUARD
Temeraire showed a craving for knowledge from a very young age, which pleased his father (who was at the time, the clan's only resident scholar) immensely. The young hatchling practicaly devoured every book and scroll in his father's personal library, and at times would have to be given private lessons so as not to show off in front of the other hatchlings during group classes. However, seemingly at odds with his want to learn was his eagerness to fight. He got into more than a fair share of scuffles with his agemates, never unprovoked but sometimes over the silliest little things. While Crow would have prefered his son to curb his violent tendencies entirely, he reasoned the next best thing would be to redirect them elsewhere, and as a result a baffled Cobalt found himself with one of his first trainies. As Temeraire grew he found himself specializing in both of his interests. On the academic side he found himself with a knack for languages and in his free time he can be found translating old manuscripts or composing poetry in on obscure coatl dialect. He was one of the dragons who helped develop the sign language used at Wayfarer's Rest from battle signals to a proper language, Theresa will frequently call on him for diplomatic missions (though he will get squirmy on these as he finds peaceful diplomacy terribly dull) and the younger Ambassadors will periodically request his help in cracking a new code they discovered (Ganna frowns on this immensely as Temeraire is not the best at keeping secrets on his best days). Where his fighting talents were concerned, he bonded almost instantly with two younger dragons, Lily and Maximus, and seeing the chemistry they had between them for maneuvers, Cobalt dubbed the three of them as the clan's first patrol team, tasked with protecting the clans' established borders. Though it did take some work for the trio to bind a balance between "attack all strangers" to "let everyone waltz in" due to the clan's open door policy. |

F A M I L I A R • L A U R E N C E When Temeraire was a very young hatchling, his father took his current group of students to a field trip on the border of the Windswept Plateau and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Temeraire refused to acknowledge that he was too young for the trip (after all he had been allowed to start classes early, why not ventures outside of the clan territory?!) and miraculously managed to sneak away from under Odji's eye. However, rather than join up with the group once they arrived, he instead decided to have his own field trip instead. To make an incredibly long story short, the young Imperial befriended a friendly Cloud Chaser after the creature rescued him from an incredibly strong current. The two formed an incredibly close bond in the time before Temeraire was located by adults from a nearby Water clan, and the dragon was devastated he'd have to give up his new friend before discovering a Cloud Chaser's ability to fly. |

P L A N S :Iridescent and Stained (Maybe clouded?)
N O T E S :Fandragon for the Temeraire novels. Also a holdover from my very first plans for my lair which was to fill it all with fictional dragons.
Send hatchling letter/gifts to Scintcellion! Crow and...oh wow you're related to Seven? Distantly enough I don't think that's really necessary to note in bio but hmm...maybe later (or no wait, Siu! Temeraire would interact with Siu a lot more than Seven)
Click or tap a food type to individually feed this dragon only. The other dragons in your lair will not have their energy replenished.
Feed this dragon Insects.
Meat stocks are currently depleted.
Feed this dragon Seafood.
Plant stocks are currently depleted.
Exalting Temeraire to the service of the Windsinger will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
