Onyx

When Onyx was young, she somehow managed to lose her dragonsitter at a populated market. Instead, she found Finch, who was immediately concerned and tried to help her locate her family. After spending hours searching alongside other dragons, they eventually had to give up, leaving a notice with dragons who would continue to help. Onyx went home with Finch, and met Cadmium, Constellation, and Brinicle. At some point, Onyx became a permanent member of the clan. While in adulthood she doesn’t stick around much, instead choosing to wander the world, she pops back in on occasion to make sure everyone’s doing okay. When she’s around, she enjoys helping Fiona and Crim at the trading post, and helping out to fight on the coliseum team.

While on a journey, Onyx found an odd sketchbook. Upon opening it, she discovered an Octavious Colossusbane inhabiting it, and was startled so much she promptly threw the book, where it landed in a nearby river. After fishing it out of the river and apologizing profusely to the familiar, it seemed amused by her and didn’t ever leave. It ended up with the name Sketch, as a tribute to the book it lived in and the fact that when she found the book, it was the sketchiest thing she’d ever seen- and has yet to see, for that matter.
