The dragon once known as Moongazer is but one head of an Emperor Imperial dragon.

Moongazer and his allies died in one of the Southern Icefield's infamous blizzards, and with the lack of a proper burial, they amalgamated and resurrected into the Emperor now known as Raiden.
However, Raiden is surprisingly docile, for an Emperor. Of course, Emperors can never truly be considered tamed or friendly, but for what they are... they are docile.

The Emperor had been stumbled upon by Hayati, who had foretold their arrival with Sylvari's assistance. Determined to not allow the Emperor to become a havoc to the Icefield, the Spiral braved the blizzard and risked being killed, all to call to the Emperor: "I will give you a home! A family! You will be safe!"
Home.
Family.
Safety.
All they wanted was to survive. Survive, and be safe, safe among family and friends. Though they could not speak anymore, the Emperor agreed to follow the Spiral - quietly - to the Clan of Life.

There they have remained, a not-so-gentle giant among the Clan's members. Their home. Their family.
