Story
Cervantes had stopped by at a new lair on one of his travels. He was in search of a small community only rumored about, and no one was sure they existed. The culture of this would be a goldmine! He must document it.
He decided to stay a while at this clan and get some rest before continuing. It was like staying at a hotel, except it felt very homey.

At dinner one night, he heard a loud dragon call over the usual mealtime clattering,
"Heads!"
He turned to look out of instinct, and immediately received a hard smack in the face by something... small? And ALIVE? He sat in shock for another moment, before frantically trying to get the damned thing off his face. It was small and furry, and oddly good at dodging dragon claws.
He heard a friendly and strange laugh as he saw purple-veined claws scoop the thing off.
After he composed himself once more, he finally could take in what had just happened. A tall Wildclaw was standing before him, with a playful grin and lively green eyes. He was placing the small furry thing (which Cervantes could now recognize as a Glowing Pocket Mouse) in the collar of his white and gold vest.
"You dolthead, why didn't you duck? I hollered!" The stranger says.
"Well. You caught me by surprise." Cervantes says, slightly offended, in his own defense.
"Keep your wits next time, and perhaps you WON't get a mouse to the face! I'm Dendrobium by the way, what're you called?"
This strange dragon spoke very fast, moving from one topic to another with no pause whatsoever.
"... my name is Cervantes. Pleased to make your acquaintance." Dendrobium smiled again, and for some strange reason it filled Cervantes with a warm, bubbley feeling. This was new.
"Hey. You busy tomorrow at around midday? I can buy you a drink to make up for this dolt's attack of your face." The Wildclaw says abruptly, sort of blurting it out. He seems almost... flustered. Well.
"Uhm-" He starts, only to get interrupted by the odd purple dragon again.
"Sorry sorry, you probably are and have an actual life to get to and don't want to go hang with the idiot who just let his mouse attack your face that was a stupid idea I'll let you get back to your meal now-"
"No no, I don't have anything going on then. I would be happy to join you." Cervantes blurts, interrupting the dragon's ramble, and he can feel his cheeks flush red with blood and heat. He hopes he doesn't sound as flustered as he feels.
The Wildclaw smiles. "Very well then! I'll see you at midday in this same establishment. Right after I finish hiding Popping Paintflowers in the girl who stole my spot at the tables' room."
He sweeps away, leaving Cervantes feeling confused and flustered about what on earth just happened, which was a totally new feeling for the scholar. Wow. This dragon was certainly a handful. A very pretty handful nontheless.
