Biography
A necromancer pheasant turned jester in a corrupt court.
The need for revolution has never been this grave before.
Inspiration/background of name:
"The oldest versions of the word harlequin — the Middle Dutch hellekijn and the Old French hellequin, reference Hell and mean a kind of demon. In the translation from French to English, the harlequin lost his demonic quality and became a clown.
Harlequin is the comedian and romantic male lead. He is a servant and the love interest of Columbine. His everlasting high spirits and cleverness work to save him from difficult situations into which his amoral behaviour leads during the course of the harlequinade.
He is often depicted with a bottle in his hand to show the audience that he is not to be taken seriously. Beyond his comical side, Harlequin represents the humanization of rich-poor relations. He was used to make people accept the social injustice between masters and slaves."
