Biography
Styx
He/It
Braggart | Dramatic | Bold | Wanderer
Personality and Interests
Styx seems to have a lot of exploits, but no one knows when it is telling the full truth, exaggerating, or just flat-out lying. It has a way with words, but it seems to use it mainly to try to convince others to join in on whatever scheme he’s cooking up this week.
Biography
Styx insists that he has a long and illustrious career as an explorer. His favorite story is recorded here, exactly as he tells it.
“It all started on a normal day. I was taking a swim and decided to wander. While I was swimming, I spied bits of wreckage peaking from the sediment on the sea floor. I swam around, looking to see if I could find the whole ship, but at first, all I saw was broken boards stabbed into the sand.
“Then I noticed it was a trail; a long one at that. As I followed, I could see old signs that something had dragged the vessel through the narrow corridors of rock. Finally, I reached the end of the trail. I prayed I wouldn’t meet what was strong enough to take a whole ship as a treasure.
“The cave had even more debris, broken off as the ship was taken to its final resting place. The ship itself rested at the center of an abandoned hoard of gathered treasures. While they were beautiful, my sights were set on the ship itself. I squeezed my way inside.
“Laying there was a king’s ransom. Gold, jewels, and art had all been lost to the sea. While I was looking through it all, I heard a noise echo from deeper in the cavern. All I had time to gather before I made my escape was this. A single, solitary gem set in the finest gold. You don’t believe me? Well, you’re always welcome to join me. Maybe we can carry back more.”
