Micans is tiny. He never got the growth spurt his peers had and he was terribly saddened by that. It was one of the reasons he left his original lair - no-one could see him past simply being "the little one", so he set out on his own to prove he was more than just his size. Unfortunately, his bravado and desire to prove himself were greater than his survival skills, and when it came to surviving in the wilds amongst huge dragons and the Beastclans, he struggled. He was constantly getting injured by creatures larger than him. And it broke him down. Determined as he had been to prove himself when he started out, even Micans started to believe that someone of his size might not be cut out to be anything but a burden on others, or simply to perish in the circle of life. He despaired. Not particularly confident or a particularly strong fighter, and already sporting several injuries, he was being harassed by some of the native inhabitants of the Starwood Strands when Ravenstag appeared from the shadows and drove the hasslers away. Micans was terrified - the huge midnight imperial could have ended him in an instant! The injured Micans sank down in submission and awaited his end. An end that didn't come. Exhausted, he found the energy to lift his eyes to Ravenstag's, and in those eyes he found neither violence nor pity - instead, he found hope. Struck by his enigmatic presence, Micans fell in with Ravenstag and followed him back to the lair, where Raven found and gifted the shaken nocturne some fine armour to help him feel safer and a bit more self-assured. Since his arrival here he has grown remarkably in confidence, now letting his own personality (which is somewhat louder and less mysterious than Ravenstag's) shine through. He still wears the armour given to him by Raven proudly, and will always treasure it as a memento of the day he found his new home. And these days he is rarely injured.

Micans spends much of his time mimicking the personalities and mannerism of teahouse visitors and new members. He's very entertaining to watch, but he also does this subtly to make them feel more at home as spend time visiting the teahouse or as they settle in to the lair. He never wants to be afraid like he was again so he is currently training with Maritima and has become quite a nimble, agile fighter. He has also become fast friends with Jacinda, teaching her body language, and working with her on her movement to improve her confidence with tasks that she can do but in a limited way, like flying. He gets an itch to travel sometimes (as most Wind Flight dragons do) but never flits too far beyond the borders of the lair; he has found his confidence within this safe place but still harbours some fear of the outside world. Luckily, since the lair has become so large and sprawling he has plenty of space to roam without having to venture too far into the unknown.
