“Do you hear the screams in the wind?”

A name spoken in stories meant to scare young hatchlings, Miakas wanders the frozen wastelands, his mind lost to madness. His magic is so great that a perpetual blizzard follows him wherever he goes, the only warning of his presence.

He seeks to reclaim his throne to a kingdom that has long since fallen to the ravages of time. The unwitting who happen to cross his path will face his wrath, perceived as enemies to his people. Only those who manage to escape the blizzard are safe.

There are moments of lucidness, when despair takes over and reminds him of his loss, of his failure to keep his kingdom safe. It's these moments when the blizzard is still, the wind silent. Only then is Miakas safe to approach, though the madness lingers in his glowing eyes, threatening to return.
