As a water dragon “Scry” always felt a pull towards prophecy. Felt a taste of the beyond within. A mere child in the ways of foretelling he journeyed into Earth territory until he found a primordial’s lair. And for once, Valroth didn’t laugh when a newcomer asked to join, doom followed this seer, but the Imperial saw a glimmer of hope in the young Wildclaw, a scent of a chance to dodge a calamity.

But Scry soon realized it wasn’t Valroth he sought in these lands, but Aveti. A true seer, ancient, nearly as old as Valroth. Graced with wisdom, experience, and perhaps a gift exceeding his own. Unfortunately for “Scry” she was reticent about prophecy, hesitant to teach, and tried to steer him away from the mysteries he had a fervor to explore.

But Wraith loved him. And Scry was too young to see that he was being used.

Aided by Wraith’s unmatched cunning and Scry’s own naïveté, the young Wildclaw became the water imperial Aveti's apprentice. Months passed, and Scry learned with a hunger unmatched, began to peer into the ebbs of shadow around the silver seeing pools, took on questions and paths of thought through the future guided by Wraith’s curiosities as well as own.

Scry found what he sought. Eyes alight, faceted now and blind to all but the path of the stars. A conduit now, the deep blue began to coat his extremities, onto that silver skin were pieces of that future, that beautiful horror, slowly creeping further along him.

Wraith was overjoyed, called it a success as the young Scry continued to prophesy.

Aveti mourned the death of her student. And keeps him close, keeps him safe, with great help from Zirali and her arcane light.
