Biography
Official Water Flight Subspecies
Coral Dragon
A Coral Dragon is a dragon which is best known for their ability to blend in with coral reefs. They are also only known to be either Guardian or Undertide dragons, due to their purely aquatic nature and inability to leave the waters they call home. Coral dragons have colonies of algae within their scales in symbiotic harmony, provided that they stay within the warmth of the shallow seas, both Coral Dragons and their algal partners can thrive.
A Coral Dragon hatchling is born with their algal partners and usually hatch around the full moon. After hatching they will occasionally drift outwards before finding a new reef to call home and hunting ground. The algae also helps the Coral Dragon to blend with corals so that their prey is lulled into a false sense of security for easier hunting, while the Coral Dragon will share nutrients from their hunt with their algal partners.
