South volunteered to accompany his dramatic brother on his diplomatic mission, though he takes it much, much less seriously. South relishes in the hunt and loves to decorate with his prizes and if he doesn't have a space to decorate he will decorate himself with them instead. He essentially agreed to go only to hunt and pursue animals he'd never been allowed to before due to the royals being constrained to their walled estate. He had long ago grown bored with hunting whatever small game had managed to sneak through a hole in the wall or climbed over the icy surface, so the sheer elation he felt when their party was ambushed by a pack of winter wolves nearly sent him over the edge.
