Found scared and alone one evening by Rhormun, she was rushed to Elva and later told the Tundras that she was trying to find her way to the Shadowbinder to exalt herself, as she was unwanted by anyone in her birth clan, but she had gotten lost and spent several days wandering around alone before finally making it into someone's territory, luckily Monki's.

Heartbroken by her story, Elva invited her to stay with them for as long as she wanted, and the small fae accepted, happy to finally feel wanted by someone. It took her a while to warm up to anyone, but eventually she formed a bond with Layea and her son Kuran, and thinks of the two as her mother and brother, and the two are happy to treat Jinxie as family. She still suffered from self-esteem issues for a long time, but the love and attention she received from her new family helped her overcome her feelings of self-doubt.

After watching many dragons come and go in the clan, a new fae male had caught her eye. He had come to the clan to receive training from Snap, and the two were instantly interested in each other. The male, Kelvar, did all he could to impress her and gain her favor, but she was too shy to acknowledge any of it for several weeks. Finally summoning up enough courage, Jinxie told Kelvar of her feelings, and after getting the assurance that his feelings for her were mutual, the two became a couple. Jinxie was still shy and uncertain of how to handle things, but Kelvar was understanding and took things slow. The two eventually had twins, and Jinxie had never been happier, she never realized how badly she had wanted a family of her own until her twins were born. Full of pride that the two hatchlings looked just like her, Jinxie did all that she could to care for her children, but sadly tradgedy struck just a few days later. The twins had hatched prematurely, and due to no fault of the parents, the twins passed away. Jinxie was devastated, and immediately reverted back into a state of near silence and a deep depression. The other clan members did what they could to console her, but they knew all they could really give her was time. Kelvar was by her side constantly, putting off his training with Snap to care for his mate, promising her that one day they would have their own family and that things would get better. Time went on, and she eventually recovered, though it was fairly obvious that she would never be the same again.

With the new leader of the clan comes new rules, and Kyro's first order of business was that all dragons are to wear colored feathers somewhere on their body, the different colors representing their rank and role in the clan. Black feathers are reserved for the leaders of the clan and the highest ranking officials. To Jinxie's surprise, Kyro approached her one morning and draped a string of black feathers over her wings, not saying much to her before leaving, but she got the message, and she's honored to be thought of so highly by her piers.

After much time has passed, she and Kelvar hatched another pair of twins, and the two seem healthy and full of energy. While Jinxie is overjoyed to have children again, she's afraid to form a strong bond with them, fearing that history will repeat itself, though everyone assures her that this time will be different, and these hatchlings are healthy and able to survive.
