Hailing from the Powdered Slopes of the Cloudscrape Crags, Charis's youth was marked by the glittering white of snowscapes and pastel winter skies. Yet, the things that enchanted Charis the most were eternal evergreen of pine leaves and the dainty, vibrant buds of spring flowers. Growing up, she was constantly told she was special as she was only one of four dragons in Sornieth to look the way she does.

When she came of age, Charis left her home to follow her childhood obsession with colour. Along the way, she began writing a tome compiling and collecting samples of all the colours to ever exist, calling herself The Pigmentologist. Travelling through Sornieth did the Skydancer well, for she gained the opportunity to understand the significance of various colours across the continent's many, many cultures.

Ambershade, on his wanderings, crossed paths with Charis and his romantic tales of the Library and its reputation intrigued Charis. She set out for the Starwood Strand a few days later. At the Library, Charis works with artisans and creators to bring their visions to life, advising on the most appropriate and evocative hues. While the other dragons sometimes gossip about her haughtiness, many can agree on Charis's sharp eye, and fewer will even admit the Skydancer is indispensable to their practices.
