Sero

Every inhabitant of the Grove is drawn there from everywhere around Sornieth. This hatchling was born of it.

In the height of the driest summer, a low brushfire crept it's way through the forest depths. Even the dry part of this forest is rather wet, so fortunately the flame never quite reached wildfire proportions. Newer inhabitants were startled at the flame creeping right up to the edge of the Grove - older inhabitants had seen it before. A good fire cleaned the forest, and the woods would come out healthier than before.

When all was said and done and the ash had settled, a few dragons ventured out to inspect their new woods.

Despite the ground being ashy and torn, the dragons found a hatchling sitting amongst the ash. The hatchling had nearly a glow to him, and certainly didn't look burned or harmed.

If was almost immediately clear that this dragon...he had been borne of the forest. Or perhaps, the fire. This idea was startling. What could that mean? Why had the forest delivered a dragon to the grove that represented no species, but...an occurrence? A rather tenuous one, at that.
