History

Concerto was so named ironically for his inability as a hatchling to stop wailing. As he grew, he decided to own it, and began studying music. He found himself intrigued by songs of the Plague flight, and eventually found his way to Sonata, a bard constantly finding herself kicked out of nearly every establishment of repute for recounting the grisly reality of many Plague-touched movers and shakers. They hit it off instantly and she offered to take Concerto under her wing.

After some time, Concerto found himself growing more and more obsessed with the tales of Necromancers, and after reading several hundred counts of their exploits, he set off to the Rotrock Rim to attempt to join their ranks, and selected a middling distance away from the Wyrmwound to meditate--he didn't want to take the easy way or he'd never feel like he earned it, but he also didn't especially want to die.

Outwardly, he claimed he wished to spread the Plaguebringer's will and contagion as readily as he spreads revulsion via song, and believed that he would be chosen by Her for his determination to survive the process. He to this day will not admit that his primary motivation was actually to impress Sonata.

Concerto failed the Trial of Survival but was saved by a Necromancer at Sonata's behest and became a Wraith. He has since renewed his fervor as a bard, singing the praises of Necromancers wherever he goes.

Valuables

Concerto values his instrument and his tutelage under Sonata. He collected the bones for his instrument himself!

He tucked his favorite toy as a hatchling under one of his wings on his trip to become a Necromancer, and no doubt it contained some type of special contagion in its fibers to this day since it was dunked in so many festering pits in Contagion Zone #128. It was directly responsible for how deathly ill he became, and he lost it after falling unconscious from his illness. He still misses it anyway.
