Ran

A Demi-god of plague and shadow they are a wild uncontrollable drake a being of disorder and natural chaos. They were found, scraggly and abandoned by a journeying Lichtenberg and brought down to the concave where Nightjar watched them until the imperial returned. Onca and Ballad kept a close eye on Ran as they grew redirecting their more destructive natures towards playful mischief instead. They see Nightjar as a parental figure (much to the enchanters surprise) and grew up closely attached to Persephone. They aren’t particularly malicious even in their more chaotic states. Ran despises being told what to do by dragons they don’t know and work with Inkwell (who look up to for how they treat other ones like them), Onca and Ballad (who they see as sort of father figures) to control their destructive impulses.

There was a time before their abandonment where they tore through the wasteland like an uncontrollable storm wrecking havoc and disorder on everything they touched it was a childish sort of action, they didn’t know any better. But the damage was done and eventually scavengers from the wasteland grouped together to take down the chaotic god to seal it or break it or anything they had to to end its rampage. After a long battle Ran was eventually overpowered by the sheer number of their opponents and thrown to the Foxfire brambles at the borderlands to be eaten by the shade touched monster rumoured it live there. Injured and confused the young hatchling Demi-god simply sat and waited for their fate to find them, they could take a shade creature, surely!

The dragon that found them didn’t look very shade touched to Ran, they wouldn’t meet the “monster” Inkwell until months later leading them to the conclusion that if the dragons of their home were so wrong about Inkwell, perhaps they could be wrong about them as well.


Loveable anarchy child, wants to deconstruct the systems on power basically wherever they find them, likes chewing on branches and eating wood.
