Spira was hatched alone in the gladeveins of the viridian labyrinth. Seeking to expand her horizons, and grow outside of where she was hatched, she traveled throughout Sornieth before finding this clan near singer’s brook and settling down. She never had a connection to the gladeveins the way many of her fellow nature dragons did, perhaps it was the disconnect between the land where most dragons lived and the water where Spira dwelled, or maybe it was the water flight origins of her breed, encouraging her to swim further and embrace the depths.

As a dragon originally from a tropical environment, Spira had always favored warmer waters, but despite this her journey took her to the windswept plateau. Although most of the focus in wind is the sky, there is still much to be found in the waters below. Feeling the cool breeze pass over the surface of the water, and listening to the burble of streams that connect singers brook was a moment of clarity for Spira: she belonged here. Although the water is not nearly as chilly as in the southern icefields, she did have to get used to how the constant air currents cool the water’s surface. She has since made herself at home, and one of her favorite locations is an area of still water among the reeds, where the sunlight shines down and warms the shallows, making it the perfect place to soak.
