Ximo

If anyone in Stratosphere is asked about how Ximo joined the clan, the answer given is that he was found as a newly-hatched Skydancer with a wolf's pelt as the only sign of what clan he might hail from. Despite the vagueness of his past, Ximo is one of the more popular clanmates and a welcome part of Stratosphere. A certain spring-winged Skydancer knows the full story, though: Ximo is her nephew, hatched by her sister who had left for the Tangled Wood. Excitement turned to tragedy at the hands of Ximo's father, the clan's leader, and shortly after hatching he was smuggled out of Shadow territory in hopes of Stratosphere providing him a better home.

What happened to aforementioned leader after Stratosphere got involved is a mystery, but judging by the look in his eyes when he's asked about it Ascension was most likely involved.

Ximo himself doesn't know the details, and instead views Mel as his mother and Stratosphere as his birth clan despite his Shadow eyes and knack for Shadow magic. Oddly enough, he started to look less and less like a Skydancer as he grew older; it wasn't until he was a year old and found a Nocturne egg that things clicked into place. Whether Ximo is a Nocturne by birth by grace of the Shadowbinder, or had something happen to him, is unknown. What is known is that he is undoubtedly blood related to Brisk, which only makes the mystery... more of a mystery.

His primary task is alchemy, and he's taken a shine to apparel in particular. When not hard at work at the cauldron, he's likely sleeping or playing lighthearted tricks on the younger dragons. Ximo's rather playful, and has a warm energy to everything he does. That being said, he's also rather childish, to the point where it's easy to forget that he's now one of the veterans of the clan. Mika, the Nocturne hatched from the egg he found, is often mistaken for being older than him as a result when the two are together. It doesn't help that Ximo is unusually small for a Nocturne.

Despite being hatched in the Tangled Wood, Ximo has an allergy to the mushrooms that naturally grow there. This limits his ability to visit his birth flight, and so most of he knows of the Tangled Wood is from what other dragons tell him.
