[The Pathetic Warrior]
Amazon was a prisoner on The Nautilus.

His tribe of crazy male-only-dragons attacked the fleet as they were crossing the edge of the Viridian Labyrinth, and in the fray, Amazon was left behind from his tribe as the Nautilus made its escape.
Not knowing what to do with him, the crew decided to keep him prisoner and refused to return to the crazy tribe.

Amazon turned out to be an okay guy however. Turns out that he was a pathetic warrior and his family forced him to get into fights he didn't want to start, and always wanted to find a way to escape them.

He quickly became quite a pal to the fleet, and promised he was now a part of them.
He however, still wears his ex-tribe's headdress, a sign of a warrior. Perhaps wearing for sentimentality? No one has ever seen his face, so it is never clear why he keeps it on.
