Summerstone has always had lions as his favorite animal. He dreamt of being close to one ever since he was still a tiny hatchling. Of course, he knew he needed to be extremely cautious with them as they're strong and would attack at a moment's notice but with the right care, he'd be able to be close to one. Each waking moment, Summerstone would go about his day, learning all he can about their care, what they need to eat on a daily basis and so fourth, making him one of the caretakers capable to work with them specifically.

Summerstone will occasionally help out with the domesticated cats when he can but otherwise, he leaves it up to their own caretaker. He'll maybe give a small treat of meat when he feeds the lions under his care for the little ones but that is far and few between. Depending on the situation of the lion, they tend to go either a few days to a few years after being brought to him, some may never even leave. He does what he can to ensure that those who stay with him long term are as comfortable as can be with the habitat he has set up for them along with all the things they may enjoy, such as trees and logs as their personal scratching posts and big areas for sunbathing if they choose to. Summerstone tends to be a little over protective of them if another dragon has decided they want to annoy the lions for their own satisfaction.

He's really lenient with the children as he knows they don't know the difference of right and wrong just yet. Even so, he warns them that the lions can hurt them if they pester too much. Other than that, he enjoys seeing them bond with the lions and hearing the giggles when they play together.

Everyone who has met Summerstone always say that he's just has fierce as the lions he cares for, if not fiercer. He'll do anything to protect the ones he calls family, that includes the lions in his long term care. He's strong willed, and hot headed, about the passions he is currently interested in, be it for the lions or in terms of baking and simple things like that. Summerstone won't go without making sure you're taken care of, after he cares for his lions, each and every day.

Sure, it took a long and very tedious process for the lions to give him their full trust for the help he can provide, but Summerstone waited patiently for them to because he knows that if he tried before the trust and the bond they now share was formed, he wouldn't be the caretaker for them. Each day, the bond grows ever more with each wound he tends to, with each sickness they've come down with, and with every new lion cub that comes into Sornieth. On occasion, he'll be in other parts of Sornieth to help with various other lion tamers and care takers and to give them tips on how to care for the lions when he is unable to come around due to circumstances out of his control. Summerstone does his best to get his own techniques across and for the tamers and care takers to expand on that and making the new techniques into their own. Often times though, when stressing over every little thing, his friends will invite him out for a couple of days to get a load off his back, even if it's just going to get a cup of coffee or a day out at the wasteland of a beach.

Looking back on it know, Summerstone is grateful that they are there for him, helping him when he cannot help himself and providing a safe environment for any children he has/may have in the future. With any and all spare time he has from the lions, he makes simple crafts and dishes to give away, and to learn new new things about the world he lives in. Even if every dragon around him, that he at least provided the crafts and dishes to, initially refused but later took them, they appreciate him for everything he has done. Summerstone does what he can for everyone around him when he is able to, wherever he can be.
