The day Moira stormed into the café was a perfectly normal day for everyone other than Moira.
See, she was doing her usual checkups on the fauna in the woodlands near her current place of residence.
The plant life was thriving, naturally.
Of course it was. She was the best botanical alchemist this side of Sornieth.
She was so enveloped in her studies however, that she wandered a little outside her usual range of interest. The sprouts and flowers and trees just ahead of her usual route of investigation were full to the brim of a magical energy she did not recognize. This more than most things sparked her interest.

Her excitement reached its peak as she began to examine the flowers more closely, muttering to her familiar companion (who she nicknamed Rosie) and shifting between pages and pages of notes about this utterly unheard of experience.

"Evidently, this infusion of arcane aura must be the result of an undiscovered magical phenomenon," she mused, her large wings fluttering with anticipation. "A unique interplay of ley lines, fae presence, or perhaps an ancient enchantment buried deep within these meadows!" She grinned a toothless smile at Rosie who merely stared dumfounded at her - which is of course what most sentient alchemical blobs do.

Moira did, as most scientists do on the brink of hidden treasure, and followed the magic further into the woodlands.

Her thirst for knowledge only skyrocketed when she saw the small welcome sign above a rather peculiar looking building. This, of course, was Cosmos tea and cake.
She burst through the door with such energy the welcome bell didn't just jingle, it snapped clean off the frame and landed with a thump on the floor.

She honed in on the first dragon she saw, charging right up to him with such vigor that if it was anyone other than storm she may have knocked them clean off their feet.

"Intriguing, intriguing! An enigmatic dragon with a penchant for tea and cake. And this place...it might be a nexus of magic!
Good morning, sir! I am Moira, a floral alchemist of considerable repute. You see, I have stumbled upon a peculiar occurrence in the local wildflowers, and the trail of magical energy led me to your captivating establishment. Have you, by any chance, observed any mystical happenings here?"

Storm couldn't hide the glimmer of amusement in his eyes as he listened to her rambles,
"Ahh,, Welcome Moira," he acknowledged, his voice even and gentle, "I am aware of the magic inside the cafe. It appears cosmos has decided to share some of it with the woodlands, too. That is interesting"

Moira's eyes widened with awe and fascination. "Remarkable! Absolutely remarkable!" she exclaimed. "This is a groundbreaking discovery! The very *essence* of this establishment is permeated with magic, infusing the local flora with wondrous energies!"

Storm did not get a chance to reply to that remark - Moira was already setting up beakers and glasses onto the first free table in her sight, her entire body shaking with excitement.
"I must stay here to conduct my research and unravel the mysteries of this magical fusion," she declared, talking to herself in excitement. "What an opportunity this is for a scientific mind like mine!"

Nobody minded, as long as she cleaned up after herself. A room was ready for her by sundown and her favorite tea - which is chrysanthemum if you care to know - was always in a fresh teapot for her in the morning.

As quickly as she arrived, Moira was now apart of the tea shop family.
