These jellyfish are spotted in Australia and the west coast of the United States and Hawaii as they have become an invasive species due to their travel from Australia to the US. The male jellyfish will release his sperm into the ocean and the females will scoop it up with their mouth because the females keep the unfertilized eggs in their mouths.
These guys are considered mildly venomous and are not a threat to humans and their sting can be cured with diluted acid. They can filter around 50,000 liters of seawater a day.
