Horizon found his place among the Aeronauts pretty early on, which makes him one of the oldest members of the clan both by time since joining and by age. He originally came from a Fire clan that still maintains a close friendship with the Aeronauts, as several of his fellow clan members have joined them too over the years. He manages a lot of the bookkeeping as well as relations to other clans for the ship.

Horizon maintains a strong allegiance to Flamecaller, and actually has some good skills with Fire magic – though he never uses them for anything other than lighting candles or entertaining the clan's younger hatchlings. That is part of the reason why he's seen as the airship's grandpa of sorts – the other parts would be his relatively old age compared to the other Aeronauts, who are primarily adventurous young dragons, and his well-known deep and rumbly voice. While he is often quite busy with his work, he enjoys reading poetry, taking naps, or telling stories to the hatchlings in his free time.
