Biography

Trained by Swiftstrike5

(Partially written by Swiftstrike5, mostly written by DatGalaxyGamer)
“From the depths of the shadows, we bid you farewell.” The tiny purple fae spoke, flares of purple lighting up around him. The sapphire-like skydancer waved around him, stripping him of his apparel as he waved at its celestial attendant. He unclasped his golden shawl and reluctantly handed it over to Frost, the wind feeling frigid and rough against his scales. and It was for his own good, for him to do this. He could train his magic until he was as strong as Nerthershroud or Athnea. Luminescence could feel the power seething under his scales, waiting to be released to protect his clan.

He wasn’t exactly that happy that he was in a shadow flight though. Luminescence clenched his claws, closing around dark, goopy, murk. He unconsciously scraped his claws against the hard ground as he met up with each of the other dragons. “We hope you have a great journey.” Nethershroud spoke, towering over him. Though Luminescence was one of the biggest dragons in the clan, Nethershroud was massive, towering every dragon in this clan. She touched his claw against his head, but unfortunately, she was so strong that he toppled over.

A great start to a journey.

“Say ‘hello’ to the Whirlwinds for us.” Peep shouted, before yelping as one of the adult dragons nearly stepped on them. The tiny pink and blue coatl rolled out of the way, colliding into his claws and blinking their huge blue eyes at him. This wasn’t any regular dragonet, they were an eternally youthful one, possibly older than he was. In those sky blue eyes held wisdom and knowledge, somehow beyond his understanding, and stared at him as though she knew exactly what he was thinking. He shivered, remembering the time when he was in the auction house, each dragon staring at him like he was rotten food left out for too long, the prying eyes of the light dragons.

He nodded and briskly turned around, facing the sky. “Good luck.” One of the dragons whispered, as he launched himself into the sky, breaking through the darkness and into the light. Luminescence twirled in the air, letting the sunlight soak into his scales. He blinked, adjusting to the bright sunlight as he dove down to the shore. He had to somehow reach Flotsam Town just before nightfall, or before his wings gave away. He inhaled and exhaled, setting his eyes on the rising sun as he beated his wings, flying above the great sea.

Luminescence yawned, stretching as he nearly bumped into another dragon. He stepped out of the small hut, onto the giant raft of Flotsam Town. Dragons bumped into each other casually, imperials, guardians and ridgebacks towering over the rest of them. He sank his claws into the raft wood as a black Ridgeback lurched away from an oncoming wave. He stepped over to one of the stalls, owned by a tiny veilspun. He l

Luminescence landed in the middle of the camp, taking in the surroundings. He was standing in the middle of a cluster of tents set up in the middle of a meadow next to a river, the bright sun shining down on his scales. He tipped his nose towards the light, enjoying the warmth that the Tangled Wood almost never had. Luminescence opened his eyes and was startled by a dark blue female Imperial who just... appeared next to him. "Oh, hey there! I haven't seen you around, so I'm guessing you're new, probably sent here from that clan we allied with, right?" Luminescence nodded, uncertain what to make of this... energetic dragon. She kept chattering. "You're here to be trained by the Whirlwinds- that's the group over there. You should head over to introduce yourself! The name's Deepsea, by the way!" She nodded towards a cluster of four dragons, who appeared to be discussing strategies inside of a tent- they were looking at something on a table. Turning his gaze back to Deepsea, he blinked at her, confounded by the energy and friendliness emanating from this dragon; in his clan, this never would've happened.

Luminescence turned towards the tent, which held two Guardians, one Mirror, and a Skydancer. Now that he got closer, he realized that it wasn't strategy that they were discussing, but, in fact, the Skydancer was attempting to teach the Mirror how to forge what Luminescence could only describe as a misshapen lump of iron. "Quicksand, how are you supposed to lop your enemies' heads off with a blade ONE FOOT THICK?" A chaotic series of clangs followed, then a hurried "SORRY!" followed by a roar of pain. Quicksand had dropped the smoldering lump of iron on the talons of a green and white Guardian, who was wincing and inspecting the burn marks. "Quicksand, with all due respect, you are a disgrace to metallurgy." the Skydancer spoke, taking the Guardian's talon and plunging it into a bucket of water. Luminescence stood at the entrance of the tent, watching the scene unfold. So these dragons are going to be training me?

Luminescence: HYDRATE OR DIE-DRATE!
Luminescence: *aggressively throws water bottles*
Athena: Uh... what's up with them?
Nethershroud: They're trying to yell mental health and wellbeing into us.
Luminescence: I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!
Inferno, crying: It's working.
