Shale

"Sand castles?" The great dragon huffs, amused. "My young friend, I came here to avoid castles."


Though this visiting Ridgeback carries the manner of those in the upper echelons of Shadow flight society, Shale insists he is a mere sojourner - a peruser of the sights and flavors the Thousand Currents provides. He doesn't seem like the usual type of tourist, though, and not just because he talks like...that.

While he revels in the sun, he seems to be doing everything he can do avoid it. Shale always carries a parasol, even if the day is cloudy; his clothes have high coverage while being loose enough to stay cool, and his heavily tinted sunglasses are donned every time he goes outside (and quite a few times indoors). And that's not even mentioning the beach. His breed's aversion to water isn't lost on him, but he'll sometimes stand as close as he possibly can to the shoreline without risking wet claws, pressing his heels into the sand as he looks out upon the sea. Not even doing anything in particular, just...gazing.


He tends to talk in circles when asked about his own life, but he provides pleasant (if peculiar) company.
