 A little Fae stared over the horizon at the setting sun. Overhead, a dazzling array of blue, orange, and red cold be seen. Beside him he could hear a large green Guardian approaching, whom was also staring out over the ocean as he neared. The Guardian squinted and inquired. "Do your eyes not hurt after staring at the sun for so long? You've been out here for hours." He shuffled himself into comfortable position and sat. The Fae turned his head to look at his companion, unblinking. His deep blue eyes showed no signs of exhaustion. "No, Torrik, not at all." His quiet voice would have been unheard by others, but Torrik could hear the Fae perfectly. He was the Guardian's charge, after all. A breeze flowed through the air and ruffled the adornments the both of them wore. They sat like this in silence for another ten, twenty minutes, until the sun could no longer be seen and night had officially fallen. Finally, as if broken from a trance, the small Fae looked up at the Guardian and smiled. "Thank you for doing this with me again today, Torrik. It really means a lot to me." Torrik could not help but smile back. He knew what it was like to be alone in the world, and he promised himself to protect this Fae with his life. The Fae was still young and innocent, still unaware of the harsh realities that the real world could offer. The Fae flew up onto the Guardian's head and landed between two green horns. Torrik could barely feel any difference in weight. The Fae stretched, yawned, and lay comfortably there as he had been doing so for the past three weeks. "I'm glad you found me, Torrik." "I'm glad I found you too, Olean."
