A light breeze and the smell of baked goods — and candied grasshoppers? — accompanies the pathway up to the little cottage. You're nervous, as expected on your first day exiting from whatever emptiness your life used to contain, and entering its next friendlier chapter. But after you gather your courage, you rap the brass door knocker.

From inside the cottage, a warm-toned aether stirs.

He opens the door and buzzes greetings, pressing a basket into the hands of the lonesome and tired dragon that's found their way to the heart of this clan of wanderers whose journeys are about to finally see a respite. Papers and quills and a little magnifying glass on a string all dangle from pockets and one of his forepaws as he bustles about, leading the newest member of the clan inside.

The cottage is actually mostly basement — winding, tight, warm tunnels where those who choose to stay in the house itself often sleep together in piles. But the first room is a kitchen, and the second...

Well. Just be careful not to knock over too many of the piles and piles of books, knick knacks, random jewels, research notes, smooth pebbles, cool twigs...and otherwise...that Tinsel and his fellow aethers have gathered in the living room.
