BACKSTORY
After being cast out of his old clan, Poinsettia stumbled upon Styx fighting ferociously to defend this spot of the Fortress of Ends from being overwhelmed. He jumped in to help, and after Acrimony, Corundum and Caesian arrived the colony was founded. Since then, he has remained loyal to Styx and has continued to live with the colony as the festivities coordinator. Poinsettia is a renowned cook and toy maker. His favorite time of the year is Night of the Nocturne and the winter solstice.

NAME ORIGIN
The poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) is a commercially important plant species of the diverse spurge family. The species is indigenous to Mexico. It is particularly well known for its red and green foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays. It derives its common English name from Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States Minister to Mexico, who introduced the plant to the US in 1825.
