Biography

Cerastes, meaning "having horns", is a greek monster known to be so flexible, it appears not to have a spine. It is described as a serpent with two pairs of ram horns, that hides under sand and ambushes prey that comes by. Most likely, this behaviour stems from the horned viper, whose scientific name comes from the creature.

Cerastes familiar is a small female ruby webwing she came across while on a stroll through the market. Instantly, she bought the small bird without a second thought. She decided to name her Carnelian, after the gemstone. The two can often be seen playing together while Cerastes goes about her errands.

| - Before Joining

Pomegranate, her original name, came from a clan where she never felt she fit in. She often wouldn't get along with her clanmates, and so left once she was old enough. She traveled north, to the Light Flight, where she hoped she could meet like-minded people. Sure enough, she eventually stumbled Nefarious and the two got along near-instantly.

|| - After Joining

She found she rather liked watching over and teaching the hatchlings that Nefarious had taken in, so she soon became their primary caretaker while Astara & Nefarious took care of food and resources. To make her easier to relate to, she changed her name from Pomegranate to Cerastes.

Cerastes doesn't only watch over the dragonets, she has ambitions in the academic world as well. In her free time, she studies extensively to one day become a professor in Nefarious' organization. After all, her love of teaching also extends to older students as well.

She is one of the Aberrations that is of the opinion that each dragon should be like-minded, and her two heads rarely disagree. One usually keeps an eye on the hatchlings, while the other talks to them. They switch between the roles often. The right one also has an affection for meat and savory flavours, while the left one has a sweet tooth.
