Mysterious. Wise. Quiet.

Do you need a potion? A spell? To break a curse? A charm? Manid is here for you. The wise Imperial is kind and helpful, but it might come with a price. This old warlock collects shiny rocks for his collection.

He's a specialist in potion brewing—any kind. And he really enjoys making teas: calming tea, concentration tea, insight tea, energizing tea, or just delicious tea. What's good with potions is that they usually make smoke while brewing. There is also smoke coming from the fire behind the cauldron. And the more smoke it makes, the more powerful it is. After all, Manid is a Master of Smoke.

He has a crow assistant: Smoker. He's very helpful, but he doesn't really like strangers.

The Warlock and the Ethereal
The legacy explained

Manid is a great sorcerer. He might look young, but he is much older than he appears. Time has passed for him, but he never really paid attention to it, and now he is lonely. Living alone in his cottage, only seeing clients who come to ask for advice, potions, charms, or talismans, is not very fulfilling. Manid has lived his life without truly living it. And now, he is bored. Every day brings the same questions, the same problems, the same clients unable to solve their issues. It's all so boring.

That was until a curious spirit came to him for help. The spirit appeared lost and frightened. How could Manid not try to help? He had to. He had never really worked with spirits before, and certainly never encountered a case like this. However, he managed to give the spirit a corporeal, temporary form. This form helped the spirit remember his name. And his name sounded as sweet as the dragon in front of him: Vesperiel. Manid offered him shelter until he could find a more lasting solution.

Time passed, but Manid couldn't find anything. He tried his best, though the more time he spent with Vesperiel, the less he wanted him to leave. It was strange, because he had never been with a male before, not that he was opposed to the idea. But despite not knowing what being with a male felt like, he had the feeling that Vesperiel was different. There was something almost angelic about him, likely due to his ethereal nature. Maybe it was his imagination, or hope, but he felt something growing between them. And for the first time in more years than he could remember, he no longer felt lonely.

Manid didn’t dream. He was sure of that when Vesperiel started acting flirtatious. The wise sorcerer didn’t miss the signals and took his chance. The truth is, after sharing their first intimate moment, neither of them wanted to lose the other. Manid continued to search for a solution because of his affection for the ethereal being. However, Vesperiel soon asked him to stop searching. Neither of them ever felt lost or lonely again.

Now lovers, Manid and Vesperiel have decided to start a family together. But children born of a powerful warlock and an ethereal are no ordinary children; they are special. They are Ethereal Warlocks.

When Manid met Vesperiel for the first time, he was lost and only half in this world, like he was stuck between two. It was then that Vesperiel came to him for help, and Manid happily complied, finding a way to materialize him for good. After that, he grew fond of the ethereal being, and they became lovers.
