Acrophos had once hailed from a fairly old clan, one full of warriors devoted wholly to the Shadowbinder. He was still very young when he had decided to leave them in pursuit of knowledge. He sought out powerful magics and spells, which his original home had severely lacked. His decision was met with understanding from his clan, and they allowed him to depart without a fight. To them, a parentless dragon like him was not one to be restricted; to force him to stay would be a grave insult to the Shadowbinder, whom they believed had created Acrophos from scratch.

Several weeks of traveling had barely begun to satisfy Acrophos' need for knowledge and new sights when he'd crashed into an enormous guardian named Shizen. He was shocked to find that he was to be the large dragon's Charge, but knew better than to argue with things. Besides, traveling alone had started to become dull and boring, and Acrophos figured a bit of company wouldn't hurt. The first few weeks afterward were a bit awkward, as Acrophos had to come to terms with the fact he was now this guardian's Charge, and would thus be stuck with her for the rest of their lives. Not that he was complaining, really; Shizen was delightful company. As their time together lengthened, the pair had bonded considerably. Eventually, they had decided to carve out a piece of territory and start a clan of their own.

Acrophos and his newfound mate had managed to bring in a fair few dragons into their fledgling clan rather quickly. Two of them, Gaius and Jade, had been taken in after their homes had discarded them. As for others, many had simply come along because they were lost or were trying to escape a past life. However, things very quickly took a turn for the worse, as the small clan had begun to become the target of frequent attacks. Circumstances had worsened when newer clan-mates had started trying to overthrow Shizen, and Acrophos began fighting alongside his partner. Only the loyal few stood by them, and they fought with the ferocity of the hottest dragon fires.

In the end, the clan Acrophos had helped create had gone through hell, and come out stronger than before. They'd lost much and mourned, and continued on with strengthening and expanding their clan and territory.

Acrophos is a remarkably calm dragon, as well as quiet. He doesn't like to speak up during conversations with groups, but will if needed. Because he is so calm and quiet, it's become a rumor that he is a ghost. If asked about it, he will often dodge the question and change the topic.

He also greatly dislikes conflict. If given the chance, Acrophos will often try to talk and negotiate in order to prevent needless bloodshed. However, should he feel that his clan or family has been significantly wronged, Acrophos will issue a challenge. In the rare event that he does step foot on the battlefield, Acrophos is utterly without mercy, and will frequently employ binding spells which are closely followed by dismemberment spells.
